Biography

|
In the past couple of years she's gone from being a young
woman with a Nashville dream to becoming a successful
singer/songwriter and star performer on stage. She has been the
featured opening act for national performers and the headline
act at venues throughout the Northeast. Still, she's overwhelmed
by the support she's received from her growing group of fans and
the interest she generates from the newspaper and television
reporters and radio personalities who want to interview her.
Jenny's roots are grounded in music. Her Dad performed with a
popular 70's rock n roll band and her grandfather was well known
in the country circuit in the 40s and 50s as a singer on the Ken
MacKenzie Television show.

Two of her uncles were inducted into Maine Country Music Hall of
Fame. Jenny always excelled at music and in school, received the
Highest Achievement Award for her musical accomplishments. She was
accepted at Boston Conservatory of Music but decided her future
didn't lie in singing arias. She considered being a teacher but a
few weeks before she was to enter college to study music education
her career aspirations changed and she decided to take a different
path (the road less traveled). She decided to follow her heritage
and went into country music. Jenny's first break came when she
heard about the Country Music Association of America competition in
1998-After state and regional wins, Jenny competed at the national
level in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was the motivation for her to
organize a band. Soon thereafter, Jenny found herself surrounded
with an outstanding group of musicians with the desire to perform at
a higher level. They went on to surprise many at the national
competition by bringing home nine awards from Las Vegas. The awards
reinforced Jenny's desire to succeed.
Jenny's next milestone came in June of 1999 with the release of her
debut album "Time Will Tell" on her own label InSpirit Records. She
was involved in every facet of its production from photography to
packaging and she called the process a valuable learning experience.
With phenomenal support from her loyal fans, country radio and
record stores throughout the Northeast, "Time Will Tell" was a
resounding success. Her next album "See What You Do" was released in
June of 2000 and went on to become a greater success story than her
first release. From then until now the road to Nashville has been
one of success and continued growth. "I remember my first visit to
Nashville a couple years ago," says Jenny. "The culture seemed so
different than it is here in the Northeast but I remember very
clearly feeling the support and encouragement from the people I met
in the industry. I left Nashville that first time inspired, informed
and with the realization that my real work lay on the road ahead of
me."
And what a road it has been thus far! Jenny has opened for some of
the greatest names in country music, including Alabama, Charlie
Daniels, Willie Nelson, Jo Dee Messina, Joe Diffie, Sawyer
Brown, Mark Wills, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tanya Tucker, Daryle Singletary,
Michelle Wright, Sammy Kershaw, John Berry, Suzy Bogguss, Billy
Dean, Gary Allan, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Charlie Daniels, Willie
Nelson, and Blackhawk to name a few. She currently divides her time
between Nashville and the northeast, developing her talents as a
songwriter and performing artist.
"From an early age I knew that I was drawn to the incredible power
of music; it inspired me to be whomever I wanted to be or to go
wherever I've wanted to go," states Jenny. "The last few years I
have been able to explore on an artistic and professional level what
music holds for me. It has been an honor to work with many talented
musicians; songwriters and producers in country music today and to
have seen first hand what the power of music can do, not only in my
life but in the others as well. Music not only reaches out and
touches the listener; it also gives something powerful back to the
creator."
Over the years Jenny has had the opportunity to sing for thousands
of people and share the stage with the most admired musicians in
country music today and on every occasion music has brought people
closer together, lifted spirits and inspired those who have
listened.
